If you haven’t heard by now there’s a new group of lensmasters out searching for great lenses. We’re the Giant Squid Greeters. Our job, which we’ve chosen to accept, is to find, identify, and encourage lensmasters with high quality lenses to live up to their potential to become Giant Squid.

Wednesday, August 20th, 2008Yummy Lenses and Something for Halloween
Tuesday, August 12th, 2008I love to cook and I really love good food. I haven’t made too many food lenses yet but I
do have a few of my favorite recipes up and plan to add more in the future.
Also I have a new lens on some of my polymer clay creations, a little early Halloween goody.
Payday!!!
Thursday, August 7th, 2008This was my best month ever for payouts, with the grand total being $170.04 (last month I made $89.43). One of my Squidoo goals was to make enough to cover my student loan payments which are $100 a month, I’ve done that with some leftover this month. If you want more details you can check out my stats lens.
On the downside it looks like payouts per lens went down a little this month again, I’m starting to wonder if the switch over to Glam ads has been as successful as hoped.

Introduction to Sculpting in Polymer Clay
Saturday, July 26th, 2008I have lots of lenses about sculpting but I hadn’t really put together a real guide to the basics of sculpting. Well I’ve remedied that, check out Introduction to Sculpting in Polymer Clay.
I’ve also contributed my addition to the Squidoo Charity Bake Sale with this lens on Needhams, Maine potato candies.
Payday and New Lenses
Monday, July 14th, 2008So Payday has come and gone. I did quite well this month, $89.43 which is more than double last month’s total.
I also have some brand new sculpting lenses:
Squid Tips for Artists and Crafters
Thursday, July 3rd, 2008I just finished a new lens that I plan to expand over time about using Squidoo to promote all things handmade. So check it out.
End of the Month Wrap Up
Tuesday, July 1st, 2008So final lensrank update for June has happened. The major point is that if the payout tiers don’t change I have 17 top tier lenses. If the top tier payout is still around $8.50 that means I’ll make about $150 just for those 17 lenses.
To check out my stats go to Squidoodling with Noadi.
Squid Tip #3 – Squidoo Enhanced Script
Wednesday, June 25th, 2008First get Greasemonkey an add-on for Firefox (if you aren’t using Firefox, shame on you). Then head over to SquidUtils and get the Squidoo Enhanced script. It does all sorts of useful things (mostly in the lens workshop) such as:
- Checks each tag in edit mode, and color codes them by number of lenses. Hovering over the tag will tell you the exact number of lenses using the tag.
- Adds link to Ping, Backlinks and Health-Check tools.
- If lens just published, adds Ping link to green box.
- Makes the workshop the full width of a published lens – NEW!
- Increases the height of text edit boxes – NEW!
Make sure to thank thefluffanutta for creating such a cool tool for us!
Did you know . . .
Thursday, June 19th, 2008I don’t just write on Squidoo? Of course I have a this blog, a couple others, a website, and a web shop but I also publish articles on Associated Content. They do pay me a little bit for the articles (not as much as Squidoo does for my lenses) but it’s a nice little trickle of money. The big benefit though is that since I often write articles related to my lenses I can link to the lens in the article or link to the article from a lens. This benefits both lenses and articles by creating some backlinks and hopefuly some clickthroughs.
Newest article is 10 Tips for Sculpting in Polymer Clay which I’ve linked to my Polymer Clay Sculpting Tips and Techniques lens.
