Using Twitter for a Handmade Business

I’m thoroughly addicted to Twitter, it happens to be a whole lot of fun and is also a pretty good way to promote your business if you do it right.  I put together a lens all about it.

Using Twitter to Promote your Handmade Products

Shameless self promotion

October 23rd, 2008 by Noadi

One of the fun things Squidoo lets you do is promote yourself.  Since I run a small scultpure and jewelry business Squidoo gives me a great venue for showcasing my work.  Here are a selection of my lenses all about my artwork and jewelry designs.

I sell on both Etsy and eCrater and Squidoo makes it easy to display my products on those sites using the Etsy and RSS modules.

I put together a little lens on using Squidoo to promote handmade products, go check it out: Using Squidoo to Promote Your Handmade Business

Brand New Lensmaster Page

August 18th, 2008 by Noadi

Squidoo just launched a brand new lensmaster page with loads of new features. Here’s a brief list: lens count, sorting by name or lensrank, display favorite lenses, feature up to 5 lenses, offsite links and lens links in an About Me list, neater looking fan club list, and more.

I’ve filled out a lot of the new options so you can check them out on my page:

Yummy Lenses and Something for Halloween

August 12th, 2008 by Noadi

I love to cook and I really love good food.  I haven’t made too many food lenses yet but I do have a few of my favorite recipes up and plan to add more in the future.

Also I have a new lens on some of my polymer clay creations, a little early Halloween goody.

Payday!!!

August 7th, 2008 by Noadi

This was my best month ever for payouts, with the grand total being $170.04 (last month I made $89.43).  One of my Squidoo goals was to make enough to cover my student loan payments which are $100 a month, I’ve done that with some leftover this month.  If you want more details you can check out my stats lens.

On the downside it looks like payouts per lens went down a little this month again, I’m starting to wonder if the switch over to Glam ads has been as successful as hoped.

Introduction to Sculpting in Polymer Clay

July 26th, 2008 by Noadi

I have lots of lenses about sculpting but I hadn’t really put together a real guide to the basics of sculpting.  Well I’ve remedied that, check out Introduction to Sculpting in Polymer Clay.

I’ve also contributed my addition to the Squidoo Charity Bake Sale with this lens on Needhams, Maine potato candies.
